Chevrolet Goes Viral
Found this article on Adage.com about a new marketing ploy for Chevy. It seems that they are giving away 10 free rides a day for college students in several campuses, using a new Chevy Aveo5. The students are then asked to film their experiences and upload it to AveoLivinLarge.com.
I think it’s a smart idea in promoting their new car. It will capture the attention of a lot of students, but will it get them the results they desire? I went to the site, and it’s just a set of videos with kids talking. It doesn’t really talk at all about the car. Is it going to work? What are your thoughts?
